July 4th Quick Pages

Hi everyone! Hope you are all having a great weekend!

Well, I'm still working on my Victorian July 4th kit but have created some cool quick pages for all of you! I hope you enjoy them. I'm posting three today and will have three more in the next day or so. Also, I'll be posting the kit probably on Monday or Tuesday.

I hope no one is offended, but I have decided to sell some things to help with my medical expenses. Medicare is really crappy and costs $93.00 a month. So many people think Medicare is free but, let me tell you, it sure isn't!!! Not only that, but they only pay 80% of what they consider the "usual and customary" charges for doctor visits, etc. I usually end up owing more like 40% than 20%. When you have as many health issues and doctors as I do, it sure adds up. All I can say is thank God that Cleveland Clinic is really understanding because I owe them my next 5 year's income!!

Anyway, that's enough of that. I just wanted to explain why I felt it necessary to try and earn a little extra income. I'll ALWAYS have freebies and will always have low prices on what I sell. I'm not looking to make a living, just a little extra to help out.

Now, here's what you came for!! LOL These quick pages are 12 x 12" and are .png files to all you have to do is put your photos behind them!

The link follows the previews.

Quick Page #1: PLEASE NOTE that this quick page has an image with VERY slight artistic nudity. If that is offensive to you, please do not download it and PLEASE do not leave me any nasty comments about it!!! Thanks.

Please remember that these quick pages are for your personal use only. I would be honored if you felt they were good enough to share, just please direct people to my blog and not directly to 4Shared.

Enjoy! Please play safe this holiday!

Just the saddest news...

Jessie's body was found and Cutts has been charged with two counts of murder (Jessie & her unborn baby girl, Chloe). Her body was found deep in the woods in the Cuyahoga Valley park system in Summit county (one county north of Stark where she lived). It certainly isn't the ending we all hoped for, but I hope her family will now have some closure...though I can't imagine it will come anytime soon. Please continue to pray for them, for those in the law enforcement and judicial sytems here in my home town who must now prosecute the monster guilty of this horrendous crime, and for all of us who felt this on such a personal level. Thanks.

Thanks and please pray for Jessie Davis

I'm sure most of you in the USA have heard by now about the pregnant mom who has been missing for a week or so in Ohio. She is from my area...just 10 minutes up the road. It's so terrible. I really wish I could participate in the search but my physical limitations prohibit that. So, I thought I would ask all of you to send prayers and good thoughts for Jessie. I can't imagine what her family is going through. It's all too awful and I fear she's no longer with us, but I guess we should all keep hope alive. Thanks everyone.

Also thank you for the wonderful comments I've received here and elsewhere regarding my Boom Booms kit! I really also appreciate the comments about my health. I've missed all of you! I've finished collecting the images for my Victorian 4th of July kit and...now to work! LOL

Blessings,

Boom-Booms

My home town has a cruise-in with food booths & entertainment every years at this time. Since I live downtown where it is held, I went down in my wheelchair and enjoyed the sites and sounds. My niece, her husband, and my 4-year-old great niece came down to watch the fireworks with me. Of course, Alyssa slept right through them!!! LOL She calls fireworks Boom Booms, thus the name of this kit. I took pictures with my Samsung S630 digital camera which is by no means a high end camera, but I was amazed at the pictures it took. I liked them so much that I made a paper pack out of them and now I'm sharing them with all of you! There are 12 different images and and I made two backgrounds from each -- one "framed" and one not. I hope you enjoy and I would definitely appreciate some feedback.

Here's the preview (which definitely does not do these images justice, IMHO!):

You can download them here. The password is "fireworks" without the quotes.

By the way, I have not given up on my Victorian Holiday series. I will be re-uploading the Christmas and Valentine's Day kits soon, and was working on an Easter kit that I became too ill to finish, but hope to still. I plan on doing one for the 4th of July in the next week so check back soon!

Blessings to you,

I'm baaack!!

Hi everyone. Welcome to my new blog. I decided since I was not physically up to maintaining a complete web site, I would create this blog to share my scrapbooking creations with all of you (as well as my poetry, thoughts, etc.). I'm uploading my new freebie paper pack as I'm writing this and will post the link as soon as it is complete. I hope you like it, and I look forward to getting back in the swing of things.

As some of you know, I had surgery on March 1st to remove a part of my right kidney and a cancerous tumor. All went well, but I just don't kick back like I used to. This was my 13th surgery and I'm just plain 'ole worn out! I'm still struggling with many other health issues, which I won't bore you with now, but I do ask that you keep me in your prayers because the struggle sure does get me down sometimes. If it weren't for my friends and my belief that I have a purpose in life, I don't think I could go on. Anyway, that's enough of that. Talk 'atcha soon.
